A ward at Dumfries Infirmary has reopened to admissions after being closed for more than a week due to a norovirus outbreak.
Routine visiting is allowed at Ward 18 which cares for elderly patients.
Infection Control Manager Elaine Ross thanked everyone for their co-operation and support during the outbreak.
She urged anyone with symptoms of the bug or anyone who has had contact with someone with the symptoms not to visit any hospital for at least 48 hours.
One ward remains shut at the Borders General Hospital due to an outbreak there.
