A ward for elderly patients at the Borders General Hospital has been closed to admissions due to an outbreak of the norovirus.
NHS Borders said there were an increased number of people in ward 10 with "gastrointestinal symptoms".
It said the situation was being managed by its infection prevention and control team and would be "closely monitored" over the weekend.
Visitors to the ward have been "strongly discouraged".
