Borders General Hospital norovirus ward closure continues

A ward at Borders General Hospital remains closed to admissions due to norovirus outbreak.

Ward 12 is shut at the site near Melrose along with one bay in ward 10.

NHS Borders said the situation was being managed by its infection control team with support from staff in the hospital and in the wider community.

Visitors to ward 12 have been "strongly discouraged" and anyone who has had symptoms of the bug in the past 48 hours has also been asked not to visit.
