Sentence was deferred on Eppie Sprung Dawson at Dumfries Sheriff Court
A Dumfries teacher has admitted breaching a position of trust by having sex with a pupil in a car parked in a lay-by near the town.
Eppie Sprung Dawson, 26, was caught by police on a routine patrol.
Dumfries Sheriff Court heard officers found the St Joseph's College teacher and the 17-year-old student on the Cummertrees to Hoddom road in December.
Sheriff George Jamieson deferred sentence but told Dawson she would be placed on the sex offenders register.
The court was told that on the night of the offence the pair had met near the school and had driven off in Dawson's car.
They had then gone to the lay-by, where they were discovered by police.
Solicitor David Finnie told the court that the English teacher, who is married, had been seen by a psychologist and a report had been prepared.
Sentence was deferred until 1 May.
