Aidan McPherson was last seen in Elgin on Hogmanay
The mother of a teenager missing for two weeks has appealed for a woman believed to have spoken to him to get in touch.
Aidan McPherson, 19, was last seen in Elgin on 31 December after leaving a party.
A woman in her 20s is believed to have been seen talking to him on Newmill Road at about 2340 GMT on Hogmanay.
Aileen McPherson told BBC Scotland: "It would help if she would come forward. We are living on little bits of news."
The woman - spotted near the junction of Calcots Road - was said to be wearing a white jacket with a furry hood, light-coloured jeans and knee-high boots.
She was also carrying a black handbag.
Mrs McPherson said: "The girl has not come forward so we are still looking for her. Why has she not come forward? Is he with her?"
She said the family was trying to stay positive to "keep sane".
The search for the teenager is continuing in the local area.
Mr McPherson's disappearance is said to be totally out of character.
He is described as being about 5ft 5in tall, of slight build, with short, fair hair.
When last seen, he was wearing a dark jacket and jeans.
