Police making further enquiries into Stefan Sutherland's death

Stefan Sutherland was reported missing from Lybster in Caithness last September

Police are making fresh inquiries into a 25-year-old Caithness man's death.

Stefan Sutherland was reported missing from Lybster on 6 September last year, sparking searches involving police, a mountain rescue team and dogs.

His body was discovered by a member of the public on the shoreline near Occumster more than a week later.

A spokesman said: "Police Scotland are currently carrying out further inquiries into the circumstances around the sudden death of Stefan Sutherland."

He added: "No further information is available at this time."
