Two men have been jailed for life for beating a man to death in an act described as "pure evil" by his family.
Richard Walker, 50, known as Ricky, was found dead at a property on Princess Street, Scarborough, in October 2016.
Clifford Honeyman, 42, and Andrew Stevenson, 39, both of no fixed address, were convicted following a trial at Leeds Crown Court.
Honeyman was jailed for a minimum of 25 years and Stevenson 28 years, minus the time they have spent in custody.

During the trial the jury heard the attack on Mr Walker was "violent, prolonged and totally unnecessary".

Speaking after sentencing Mr Walker's family said: "Our family feels a huge sense of relief at the guilty verdict the jury has delivered in this trial.
"Richard's murder was a callous and unnecessary act of pure evil. Sitting through the trial every day has been an unbelievably harrowing experience that we will never forget.
"Nothing can bring Richard back and our family will never be the same again, but we are relieved justice has been done."
Det Supt Dai Malyn of North Yorkshire Police said: "The family have had to endure a three-week trial in which they have listened to the catastrophic injuries suffered by Richard at the hands of Stevenson and Honeyman, two violent individuals."
He said the men had a "complete disregard" for the vulnerability of their victim.
Both Honeyman and Stevenson were also convicted, along with a third defendant, Stephen Atkinson, of a separate robbery earlier in October.
Atkinson, 55, was jailed for ten years.
