Charles Hickox died an hour after he collided with the van
A landlord has been found guilty of killing a wealthy American customer by pushing him in front on an oncoming van with an ironing board.
Charles Hickox was chased by Rostam Notarki from the Cardinal Wolsey near Hampton Court Palace after a row over a credit card.
Notarki, 53, Beech Way, Twickenham, was found guilty of manslaughter following a trial at the Old Bailey.
He denied the charge, saying he acted in self defence.
The Old Bailey was told Mr Hickox was initially ejected from the pub on 7 September, but believed staff had kept his credit card and returned brandishing two tennis racquets.
He pushed the landlord with one of the racquets before running off but Mr Notarki chased him with the ironing board.
'Running for his life'
A witness described Mr Hickox as looking "terrified" and "running for his life".
Prosecutor Michelle Nelson told the court: "In the footage, Rostam Notarki can be seen holding the ironing board aloft and horizontally.
"Charles Hickox reached the kerb. At 19:21 Rostam Notarki pulled the ironing board back and then propelled it forward without letting it go and struck the victim to his upper back or neck area propelling Hickox forward into the road."
Mr Hickox then hit his head on the front passenger wheel of a passing van and fractured his skull. He died an hour later.
Notarki's son Kian, 20, and barman Mehrad Mohmadi 45, Radcliffe Mews, Hampton, Middlesex, were convicted of perverting the course of justice by hiding CCTV footage of the incident. All three will be sentenced on 31 July.
