Police are investigating reports a girl was assaulted by a member of staff at a secure hospital and school.
The girl was allegedly kicked in the back at Ellingham Hospital, in Attleborough, Norfolk.
The site has 30 beds and a school for 12 to 18-year-olds with behavioural or psychological difficulties.
Partnerships in Care, which runs Ellingham Hospital, said it was unable to comment on any alleged incidents.
A spokesman added: "We would like to reassure you that Partnerships in Care takes all incidents extremely seriously and the safety of our patients is paramount."
Norfolk Police said: "I can confirm that we are investigating a report of assault at Ellingham Hospital in Attleborough.
"Police investigations are ongoing and we cannot comment further at this stage."
