A man has been shot in the arm and leg, leading police to carry out a "detailed" forensic search of the scene.
The 22-year-old was injured at about 05:30 BST on Saturday in the Stivichall area of Coventry.
He is in a stable condition in hospital, West Midlands Police said.
Sgt Joel Mildinhall said investigations were ongoing and officers had conducted a "detailed forensic search" and were "currently looking over CCTV".
The shooting happened in Coat of Arms Bridge Road.
