Western Power man who died after pole fall is named

A man who died when he fell from an electricity pole in Cornwall has been named by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

Ryan Thomas, 28, from Grampound, had been working for Western Power Distribution (WPD).

He died from his injuries when the pole collapsed in Cawsand on Wednesday evening.

The HSE has begun an investigation into his death. Earlier, WPD said it would not be releasing a statement.
