Vandals spray offensive graffiti across Biggleswade

Offensive graffiti has been daubed over vehicles and houses across a wide area of a town in Bedfordshire.

Police said between 30 and 40 people had been affected after vandals sprayed what appeared to be road-marking spray over several streets in Biggleswade.

A spokeswoman said the random attack on the Potton side of the town happened overnight between Friday and Saturday.

"Vehicles, houses, street furniture and tarmac were covered with something like road-marking spray," she said.

"The graffiti is mostly offensive words but apparently not directed at any one individual."

Officers have recovered some spray cans and are making inquiries in the area, but urged anyone with information to come forward.
