    A man's been charged with possessing an imitation firearm after an incident in Rotherham on Wednesday.

    Matthew James Hirst, 24, from Schofield Street, Mexborough, was also charged with intent to cause fear of violence.

    It comes after an incident in Avenue Road in Wath-upon-Dearne where a man was reportedly seen with a firearm.

  20. Murder inquiry officers quiz man, 34published at 17:40 GMT 13 February 2017

    Police are still questioning a 34-year-old man on suspicion of murder following the death of a man at a house in Harehills in the early hours of yesterday morning.

    Three other men, aged 46, 50 and 51, and a 40-year-old woman have now all been released without charge.

    West Yorkshire Police said they were called to a property, next to St James's Hospital, by the ambulance service at about 01:30 GMT on Sunday.

    Officers found a man with serious injuries. Police said he died a short time later.
