Another part of Adam Posnett's question was: Shouldn't there be a blue plaque put there?
Well first of all it's worth noting that in 2014 this plaque was put up in Melton Mowbray at one of many houses the actor grew up in.
Image source, Leicestershire County CouncilThe Heritage Foundation are the people behind the blue plaques - I've been in touch with them about the possibility one for Graham Chapman and they said it would "absolutely" be something they'd be interested in.
It would need the approval of the building owner and city council but it COULD happen.

Adam Posnett used Your Questions to ask: Where exactly was the care home that Graham Chapman of Monty Python was born in Stoneygate?
Well I've been doing a bit of digging and with the help of the Stoneygate Conservation Area Society it's been identified as this building on Stoneygate Road...
Image source, GoogleThe old Victorian House is now part of Blossoms Nursery but it's thought to have been the Stoneygate Nursing Home in 1941 when the actor was born there.
Neil Crutchley from the society said: "If you look to the left you can see a later addtition which looks as though it could well have been part of a nursing home as it has that 'utilitarian' look about it."

Ahead of the 20th anniversary of Rutland once again becoming its own county, you asked us if separating from Leicestershire had been a good thing for residents.
We paid a visit to both sides of the border to ask people if they think they'd be better off together, and here's what they had to say.
Get in touch if you have any more questions about your local area you want us to investigate.

It's small, it's beautiful and it's 20 years since it broke away from Leicestershire - but has taking back control paid off for locals in Rutland?
The two counties became one in 1974, but Rutland returned on 1 April, 1997, and is now run by its own county council.
You've used Your Questions and asked us this head-scratcher: Is it better off being independent or should it return to Leicestershire?

Quote Message“We are very concerned about this dog’s welfare as it sounds like the dog was subjected to a vicious attack and was seen limping shortly afterwards. It is believed that the person who attacked the dog drove away with the animal. We are urging anyone with any information to contact us in complete confidence so we can trace the dog."
