A new campaign to tackle knife crime will be launched in South Yorkshire next week.
The force says people will notice an increased presence, although there will also be undercover operations taking place as well.
People who carry knives in the county are being urged to hand them in.

An East Yorkshire Brewery has created a new beer to help raise awareness of male suicide.
The Old Mill Brewery in Snaith has called the beer '12th Man, external' and 5p from every pint sold will go to the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
Crews from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue spent around 180 hours dealing with hoax 999 calls between April and December last year.
Figures from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue show they attended 45 hoax calls in the five months between April and December.
They say the number of prank calls increases around school holidays.
Detectives working to find out more about human bones which were discovered on land in Barnsley say tests show the remains are those of someone who has died within the last five years.
A police cordon remains in place at the scene - they were found on Sunday off Mitchell Street.
No details of the gender and age of the person have been released and officers say they're still treating the death as unexplained.
Officers said there is no indication the residents at the property next to where the discovery was made are linked or connected in any way.

A Hull city councillor has told a jury he posted pornography on a twitter account he had set up.

He said he had seen indecent images of children and illegal pornography while browsing internet sites and twitter feeds, but told the jury at Hull Crown Court he had never downloaded those sorts of images.
He denies making indecent images of children and owning extreme pornography. The case continues.

Prosecutors say a taxi driver in Rotherham who raped a schoolgirl took advantage of a vulnerable young girl.
Asghar Bostan, aged 47, of East Bawtry Road in the town was jailed for nine years at Sheffield Crown Court earlier today.

Four men and a woman have been jailed for the kidnap, imprisonment and torture of a 17-year-old boy from Grantham.
Image source, Lincs PoliceThe gang, all from Peterborough, tricked the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, by luring him to a bar to meet Danielle Corrigan, 27, (pictured above) and another girl.
Instead, two of the gang chased and caught the boy, beating and stabbing him before handcuffing him and driving him to a house.
While there he had a bag placed over his head, he was cut with a knife and tortured by the group.
The offenders (pictured above and below) were dealt with at Lincoln Crown Court.
Kane Stone, 25, (top left) was sentenced to 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to GBH and conspiracy to kidnap.
Adam Couzens, 25, (bottom left) was given 14 years in jail for the same charges.
Mohammed Nazir, 26, (top right) was sentenced to six years in jail for pleading guilty conspiracy to kidnap.
Danielle Corrigan, 27, (above middle) denied conspiracy to kidnap but was found guilty during the trial and was jailed for four years.
Alan Stokes, 36, (bottom right) was jailed for two years and three months after pleading guilty to conspiracy to falsely imprison.

Emily Hickey was reported missing from her home in Sheffield city centre at 13:30 yesterday and may be carrying a large holdall.
