It will be dry this evening and overnight with some clear spells. Under these it will turn chilly meaning some frost is likely.
Minimum temperature: 0C (32F).

Tomorrow will be mostly dry and there should be some sunny breaks. A few showers cannot be ruled out, and the easterly breeze will make it feel cold at times. Maximum temperature: 6C (43F).

It has been a busy day at Colchester United who have signed a second Premier League player.

Oduwa,19, spent the first half of this term on loan at Rangers, playing 15 times and had a previous loan at Luton.

After a decade of decisions, about half a dozen resubmissions and thousands of pages of planning, one of Britain's largest incinerators is set to be built in Essex.

Representatives of developers, Gent Fairhead, confirmed to me that work would begin at the site based at Rivenhall Airfield before 2 March.
The plant, once completed, will have capacity for 600,000 tones of waste to be burnt providing energy to the National Grid.

The biggest deficit in Essex is faced by the trust that runs Colchester Hospital, with a predicted shortfall of £39.4m in 2015-16.

A man who robbed a pensioner of £4 on Christmas Eve has been jailed for three years.
