A teenager out celebrating a friend's birthday was fatally stabbed at a club when a fight broke out after a row over a girl, a court has been told.
Daniel Kirkwood, 18, was found with knife wounds to his neck outside Society Club, in Coventry, last March.

Image source, Stratford ObserverA number of changes are to be made at a new road junction in Coventry following several crashes since it opened.

It follows a review of the way traffic is flowing at the busy junction of Broad Lane and the A45 where a new roundabout was put in at the end of last year.
Lane changes are now to be introduced there, extra signage is to be put in telling drivers where to give way and yellow boxes at the junction are to be extended.
A&E units in both Coventry and Warwickshire are still failing to meet waiting time targets., external
At University Hospital in Coventry 89% of patients were seen within four hours in November - Warwick Hospital performed better with 93.7%. That's compared with a national target of 95%.

A man matching the description of one of those accused of murdering Daniel Kirkwood was seen at a nightclub carrying a knife, a jury has heard.
A DJ at Coventry's Society nightclub told the trial at Warwick Crown Court a man matching Tobijah Thompson's description picked up a knife from the dance floor before running towards Daniel Kirkwood and friends shouting "come on, you can have it".

Five men deny murdering the 18-year-old after a fight broke out at the nightclub in March.
The trial, expected to last six weeks, continues.

A jury has heard graphic descriptions of how Coventry teenager, Daniel Kirkwood, was stabbed to death at a Coventry nightclub.
Five men on trial at Warwick Crown Court deny murdering the 18-year-old as he celebrated a friend's birthday in March 2015.
Image source, West Midlands PoliceOpening the trial, Prosecution Barrister Michael Burrows QC, described how trouble started when one of the five defendants, 24-year-old Tobijah Thompson of no fixed address, took exception to one of Daniel Kirkwood's friends chatting to a girl in Coventry's Society nightclub.
The court was told various witness accounts, including one from a bar worker who described the scene as "mad".
