    The next set of major roadworks in Bridgwater - linked to Hinkley Point C - could be pushed back by several years.

    EDF Energy, the company building the new nuclear power station, was planning work on the junction of the Bristol Road and Wylds Road.

    Now the company says it's planning to push the works back to reduce the impact on locals and businesses as well as its own deliveries to the construction site.

    A teaching assistant from Wincanton in Somerset has run the equivalent of 73 marathons across Africa in just over two months.

    Since he started in June in Namibia, Brendan Rendall has covered almost 2,000 miles in extreme heat and terrain.

    He hopes to reach the coast of Mozambique in just over a fortnight and raise £75,000 to build a hostel for orphaned children.

    The Christopher Robin movie is released today so what better time to revisit the origins of Winnie the Pooh.

    Pooh was based on a real life bear which spent much of its life, around 1914, on Salisbury Plain.

    She helped soldiers during the First World War, and inspired AA Milne to write his now world-famous books, as Colonel Neil Smith from the Army told BBC Wiltshire in 2014.

    Hoteliers and Bed & Breakfast owners in Bath are calling for tighter regulations on Airbnb operators.

    Some businesses in the city claim to have taken a significant hit because of people offering unregulated accommodation.

    Bath and North East Somerset Council says it's considering restricting short term Airbnb lettings.

    Hotel bosses in Bristol have also asked the council to investigate the issue.

    Gloucester Rugby player Danny Cipriani will be subject to an independent disciplinary panel, the Rugby Football Union has said.

    Following his conviction for common assault and resisting arrest at a nightclub in Jersey, the RFU has charged him, external with conduct "prejudicial to the interests of the game".

    The hearing will take place next week.

    Some cyclists in Gloucestershire have said the number of potholes on the county's roads are putting them more at-risk of accidents.

    Riders say it sometimes means concentrating on the road surface more than the traffic and riding further into the middle of the road to avoid them.

    Gloucestershire County Council said it had doubled its budget for resurfacing roads over the next four years and was encouraging the public to report potholes online.

    But some cyclists want more to be done.
