This week's Strictly Come Dancing proved to be a hit for Vicky Pattison, who bagged the best score of the night for her Tango and - as the judges say - her best dance so far.

With a score of 39 she narrowly missed out on a perfect score but overtook Amber Davies' fiery Samba which earned 38 points.

EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal got a standing ovation for her Couple's Choice dance, the Bhangra. YouTuber George Clarke was praised by Shirley for having "some of the best footwork" she'd seen in a Waltz.

Last week's perfect-scorer Lewis Cope performed an energetic Cha Cha Cha and came in joint third place alongside Lioness Karen Carney on 35 points.

At the other end of the leaderboard, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Alex Kingston both impressed the judges to earn 30 points - but were reminded that the devil is in the details.

Coming in bottom of the leaderboard this week is La Voix. However, Motsi paid her perhaps the nicest compliment of the night: "You bring sunshine to the ballroom."

Tess Daly announces the judge with the casting vote for the dance off - between two couples - will be Motsi Mabuse.

In honour of Remembrance Sunday, the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment will join the Strictly pros for a special dance, Claudia says.

She adds that James Morrison in set to perform.

Tess and Claudia end the show with the familiar: "Until then, keeeep dancing".

Harry and Karen's Samba is fun, flirty, free - and bouncing with energy! It's smiles from us here in the newsroom, because if they're having fun then so are we.

You have the "X-factor", Shirley says, adding that they'll have everyone at home up on their feet too.

"It was very free!" Anton exclaims, telling them that he loves their energy.

Craig comments that he liked the "dance of the pecs" from Harry.

Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Karen Hauer are taking on the Samba to the song Samba by Gloria Estefan.

They'll be hoping to do better than last week, when they scored just 26 points, leaving them bottom of the leaderboard.

She has now taken over Amber - and secures the top spot on the all-important leaderboard.

"I thought it was absolutely marvellous", Anton says. "I'm a bit stunned, it was that good," he admits.

Craig starts by critiquing her left hand (Craig always has to find something), but then goes: "Apart from that, it was perfect."

Motsi and Shirley declare it the "best dance of the night so far".

Vicky Pattinson and Kai Widdrington will be dancing to The Fate of Ophelia from Taylor Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl.

The couple scored 31 points last week.

Amber and Nikita deliver an upbeat, jaunty Salsa tonight. Full of personality and flair - and lifts - their dance lives up to its disco potential.

"Fluid, flexible, lovely rotation... brilliant chemistry", Shirley says as Anton claims the couple just want to make it more difficult for themself.

"Man alive," says Anton. While Craig says: "Ah-mazing".

West End star Amber Davies is shedding her Red Riding Hood cape and going back to the 1970s for this week's performance.

After an enthralling Viennese Waltz last week, Amber and Nikita Kuzmin will show off their chemistry - and their funky moves - with their Salsa to the tune of You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) by Sylvester.

The Viennese Waltz from George and Alexis? One word. Elegant.

The pair glided across the glittering dancefloor with fluidy and sophistication. Really, can anybody find someone to fault it?

Motsi says she's happy to seem him dance like this. "You moved so well - you used the entire floor", she tells the couple.

"Some of the best footwork I've seen in a Viennese Waltz," Shirley says, as Anton calls it "proper dancing".

George Clarke and Alexis Warr will be Waltzing to Queen's Somebody to Love - and with a bit of luck, it'll be the judges once they've impressed them with their Viennese Waltz.

But, he says, "you owned it tonight".
