- We're just over 24 hours into the temporary ceasefire announced yesterday, however, there have been continuing attacks throughout the region
- It is unclear whether more ships are being allowed by Iran to pass through Strait of Hormuz. Despite the White House insisting that the strait is "open", Iranian state media reports that it remains closed
- Fighting between Israel and Lebanon has ramped up, with both the US and Israel claiming that Lebanon was not part of the deal with Iran, and Iran saying that it was
- The White House has disputed details of the agreement, saying that the deal being publicised by Iran is different from what Iran actually agreed to
- The Israel Defence Forces claim to have killed a Hezbollah commander in Beirut, and say they launched 100 strikes in 10 minutes in "the biggest strike" against the group since the start of its operation last month
- Lebanon's health ministry has said that at least 112 people have been killed by Israeli bombs, while another 800 have been injured
- It comes as Iran warns against further attacks against Lebanon, threatening a "regret-inducing response" if strikes continue
- A BBC Arabic colleague, whose home is less than 200 meters from where bombs fell in Beirut, describes the "widespread panic in the country" as the attacks intensify
- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged continued attacks against Hezbollah, and denies reports that Israel was notified at the last minute about the ceasefire deal
- At the White House, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that peace talks will begin in Pakistan on Saturday, with Vice-president JD Vance leading the US delegation to Islamabad
- Meanwhile, Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte was at the White House to meet Trump, and left saying the US president is "clearly disappointed" in Nato allies
- Trump then took to social media to post in all-caps that "Nato wasn't there when we needed them, and they won't be there if we need them again"
