Here's a recap of what we know so far about the fatal stabbing in Leicester.
Image source, PA MediaA De Montfort University student said he had seen a man receiving medical attention on the pavement.
He had been on the way home from a field trip when he saw the scene across the road from The Bowling Green pub in Oxford Street.
The student, who did not wish to be named, told the PA news agency: "I just saw a person on the floor and getting CPR.
"I was going back home then I just saw the police around and saw the person on the floor."

Helen Astle, a BBC reporter at the scene, says that Oxford Street - where the student who died was found collapsed - has now reopened to traffic.
Bonners Lane, which leads from the main road into the campus, remains closed.

The city's other big students' union, at the University of Leicester, has issued a message to De Montfort's community.
In a statement, it said: "We are deeply saddened by the incident that took place near De Montfort University last night, and we're holding everyone affected in our thoughts."
A local politician has spoken out over the "information vacuum" he says was left by Leicestershire Police in the aftermath of the fatal stabbing.
Conservative Harborough county councillor Phil King said: "Obviously this is a very tragic situation, my thoughts are with family and friends and this will be deeply concerning to all residents, but why did this take Leicestershire Police approximately 18 hours to release any public information?"
The force released a road closure alert over a "police incident" shortly after it was called to the scene on Tuesday, but details of the nature of the reason for the cordons and closures was not issued until about 11:30 GMT today.
The BBC has contacted the force for a response.
Tye Crofton, 19, who works in De Montfort University's Innovation Centre, has been giving their version of events of the stabbing to media outlets.
De Montfort Students' Union has urged any students who need support to reach out.
The union shared this statement on its website.
It says: "We are deeply saddened by the news shared by the university today. At a university like ours, our community is held together by our bonds with one another, and nothing brings that into sharper focus than when something so devastating happens.
"We know this will be unsettling for many students, and we want to reassure you that the university, the students' union and your student voice leaders are here to support you.
"If you need support, someone to talk to, or simply reassurance, please reach out.
"You are not alone, and we are holding this together as a community.
"We will continue to work with the university and the students on the next steps and will keep you informed and supported as we process this news together."

A line of seven police officers, all dressed in black uniform, have been conducting a thorough search of Oxford Street - where the stabbing took place.
Walking between police tape, the officers were being guided around the large area.
Two officers could be seen searching in bushes in front of the Innovation Centre - a De Montfort University building - using long wooden poles.
There appeared to be a focus around shrubbery outside the building.
Some officers were also searching outside the cordon.

Image source, Jacob King/PA WireLeicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner Rupert Matthews has labelled the fatal stabbing a "horrific, and shocking, incident".
The man tasked with overseeing policing for the city said officers were working "tirelessly" on the case.
He said: "A young man's life has been unnecessarily cut short, and that is a tragedy.
"I am aware that an 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.
"I urge anyone with information that may help the enquiry to come forward, and of course, they can speak to local officers about any concerns they may have."

Tye Crofton, a 19-year-old software engineer, said they heard a scream not long before they finished work - but "didn't think too much of it at the time".
They told the BBC: "Two or three minutes past five, as I exited the door, I saw a man lying on the ground covered with coats by around 12 or 17 bystanders."
Crofton said a person, who they believed was a member of the public, began performing CPR on the man.
"I didn't really know to react initially," they added.
"There was someone else there that had phones up to each ear, and I assumed that they were already on the phone to emergency services."

Here's a recap of what we know so far:

Shivani Raja, Conservative MP for Leicester East, said she was "deeply concerned" about the murder investigation.
"I understand this will be troubling for many residents across the city and want to assure residents that I am in regular contact with both Leicestershire Police and De Montfort University to offer my support, she said.
"I want to thank the emergency services for their quick action, bravery and continued efforts."
A large police cordon remains in the city centre - with multiple officers at the scene.

Instead of queuing cars populating this busy three-lane road in the centre of Leicester, the police are parked across the street behind metres of blue and white tape.
Three police cars are parked in the middle of the highway while at least eight officers patrol the cordon's border.
A small gaggle of reporters have gathered next to DMU's Hugh Aston building and students who are trying to access university facilities are being told to walk around the cordon.

The university said if any students needed support, to contact [email protected].
