Child benefit deadline day looms, warn tax officials

The deadline is approaching for parents earning more than £50,000 a year who currently receive child benefit, to register with the tax authorities.

Officials say around 200,000 people have yet to make a registration following new rules introduced by the government to prevent higher earners from receiving child benefits.
