Tony Blackburn 'parts company' with BBC over Savile inquiry
The director general of the BBC, Tony Hall, has said the DJ Tony Blackburn is no longer working for the corporation.
Mr Blackburn - one of the BBC's longest serving DJs - said he had been sacked by the BBC because of a dispute over his evidence to the inquiry.
Lord Hall said he felt the DJ had fallen short of the standards of evidence that such an inquiry demanded.
Mr Blackburn has accused the BBC of making him a "scapegoat" and said he will take legal action. Ben Ando reports.
