BBC Northern Ireland presents Lock-in Festival - an Easter Monday music extravaganza of live performances
It’s an Easter Monday musical treat from BBC Northern Ireland! The Lock-in Festival is an evening of some of the best live performances recorded in Northern Ireland by the BBC, from iconic acts alongside local music heroes.

On Monday 13 April from 7.30pm, Stephen McCauley and Gemma Bradley host Lock-in Festival on BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Radio Foyle with footage streamed on bbc.co.uk/nilive
It’s a chance to kick back and enjoy the Easter break in style as Gemma and Stephen bring a range of concerts into your home. With four and a half hours of the best live footage from the BBC archives, listeners can dance around their living rooms, or chill out and reminisce as they hear live recorded performances from acts including Underworld and Vampire Weekend.
Lock-in Festival begins at 7.30pm with unforgettable archive performances of Manic Street Preachers at Vital 2007 followed by The Breeders from the BBC’s The Biggest Weekend in 2018.
From 8pm, local artists Saint Sister perform their set, recorded at ATL @ 30. They are followed by Vampire Weekend at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2013 in Londonderry.
Later in the evening there will be music from last summer’s Stendhal festival from artists such as ROE and Jordan Adetunji. Audiences can also relive performances from Flaming Lips at Belsonic in 2008 and headliners Underworld at the BBC’s The Biggest Weekend held in Belfast in 2018.
There will also be a chance to experience live tracks from local artists Two Door Cinema Club, Jealous of the Birds and Foy Vance recorded at Ward Park and studio sets from New Pagans and Cherym.
The Lock-in Festival will be broadcast on Monday 13 April from 7.30pm on BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Radio Foyle, with footage streamed on bbc.co.uk/nilive - switching to BBC One Northern Ireland from 11.10pm.
