The action-packed third instalment arrives on BBC iPlayer and BBC One from Sunday 30 August
The BBC has released a tense new trailer for the hit drama Vigil and announced that the series will return to screens on BBC iPlayer and BBC One from Sunday 30 August.* The six-part series, made by World Productions (Line of Duty, Until I Kill You, Showtrial), part of ITV Studios, was filmed in Svalbard and Scotland.
The new trailer teases the action-packed third instalment of the International Emmy-winning and BAFTA-nominated drama which sees DCI Amy Silva (Suranne Jones) and DI Kirsten Longacre (Rose Leslie) return for a high-stakes investigation that takes them to a remote Arctic research station, where a member of a covert British special forces mission has been shot dead.

Gary Lewis will also be reprising his role as DSU Robertson who continues to work closely with Amy and Kirsten.
