Biography:

Liverpool born and bred, Beryl Adams found herself working in the busy department store NEMS, at the age of 24.
Although it mostly sold furniture, the store had also carved out a reputation as a music outlet, catering to hordes of teenagers, including those famous four.
It was at NEMS that Beryl first met Brian Epstein and after handling general administration for the firm, she became his secretary when he set up NEMS Enterprises, a firm which managed an ever increasing string of bands.

After the Beatles’ first record, Love Me Do leapt into the charts, closely followed by Please, Please Me, Brian announced his plans to shift the headquarters of his empire to London. Epstein naturally thought Beryl would accompany him, but under ever increasing pressure, Beryl chose to remain in Liverpool, where she went on to become secretary for Ray McFall, the then owner of the Cavern.

After a relationship and marriage to Bob Wooler, Beryl went on to marry Peter Mullins. For thirty years Beryl worked as a doctor’s receptionist, and raised her son Simon.

Now after a strange twist of fate, Beryl has a relationship with Alan Williams, the Beatles’ first manager, and is in the process of detailing all her Beatles experiences in her first book.
