Hollywood actor Cuba Gooding Jr was discovered after he was chosen to perform as part of a group of break dancers at the closing ceremony of the 1984 Olympics. He worked briefly as a backing dancer for Paula Abdul before getting his first big break in the 1991 film 'Boyz in the Hood'. He is best known for his Oscar-winning performance as an arrogant footballer in 'Jerry Maguire' in 1996.
He has gone on to star alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest names and in 2002 he was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Other impressive details about Cuba include the fact that Roger Moore tipped him to replace Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, and that People Magazine included him in a listing of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World in 1997.
