Must-see-live band Reverend and the Makers burst onto the scene last spring with their insanely catchy debut single, ‘Heavyweight Champion of The World’.
Fronted by the poetic Jon ‘The Reverend’ McClure, this Sheffield band make glorious, story-telling indie music peppered with electro beats that insist you get up and dance.
Having previously worked with Alex Turner and penned tracks for the Arctic Monkeys, Jon McClure already had a dedicated cult following when he put together ‘The Makers’ and signed to Wall of Sound in 2006.
Their debut album, ‘The State of Things’ reached No 5 in the UK chart when it was released in September 2007 and since then the band toured the UK with The Ting Tings and supported the likes of Ian Brown and the Verve.
