Young people from local schools, the Leicester Apex Project, Friday Verve Group and Girls Breakout have all contributed to the new site.
It exists to give young people a platform to gather information about, and debate, subjects such as multiculturalism, young women's safety, disability, drinking and drug taking.
Using digital art and online messaging, the site offers young people in Leicestershire and Rutland a way of learning more about subjects which may be classed as taboo by others in their lives.
Youthweb is aimed at young people and policy makers who make decisions about issues which matter to young people in the area. "We're the Internet generation; through Youthweb we're using the web to challenge stereotypes and show positive role models. The great thing about the Internet is it's so accessible, especially to our peers," says, Jasprit, a participant in the project.
To promote the project, participants designed and produced postcards which represented the idea of the site. For a gallery of the postcard artwork, click on the banner above or below.
