The squad have begun preparations for the new campaign with a three day team building programme at Barnsdale Hall in Rutland. The only players missing were the two overseas signings Dinesh Mongia and Mohammed Asif. Snape says he looking for them arriving in mid-April. "It's an exciting prospect to have two world class players joining us, and of course it'll be Mongia's second season at Grace Road". Taking Charge On the challenge of leading the team Snape feels he has the necessary experience. "However working alongside new coach Tim Boon and the other senior players and coaches it should be fairly straightforward". Snape also revealed that he'd only being playing part time in recent years because he returned to studying. "I've just been finishing a Masters Degree in Sports Psychology at Loughborough University, but I was only too happy to take on my new role at Grace Road after I got the call from Tim Boon". |
