Donald Trump to launch new social media platform

Former US President Donald Trump has announced plans to launch a new social media network, called TRUTH Social.

He said the platform would "stand up to the tyranny of big tech", accusing them of silencing opposing voices in the US.

The story 

Donald Trump is launching his own social media network. Announcing the plans, the former US president said TRUTH Social
would stand up to the tyranny of big tech. 

Mr Trump was banned from Twitter and Facebook after his supporters stormed the US Capitol building in Washington in January.  

In a statement, he said it was “unacceptable” that your “favourite American president” had “been silenced”.
