Djokovic hits line judge with ball

After Novak Djokovic's serve had been broken by his opponent, he became frustrated and hit a ball in anger which accidentally struck a line judge in the throat. The incident led to him being disqualified from the US Open tennis tournament. Neil and Catherine have the vocabulary you need to talk about this story.

The story

There’s no suggestion the shot was deliberate: Djokovic wasn’t looking where he hit the ball having just been broken on his serve.

But a ruling of physical abuse means the world number 1 was defaulted.
