Hello again. We're on dry land. It's such a great feeling after just looking at endless water day after day. But where are we? Let me show you on this map that I've drawn.

We are around here in Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean. Our journey started in London in the UK here – and we sailed down to Cape Verde here. Then a big storm meant we had to divert to here, Sao Tome and Principe. That's where we met Sophia. She helped us sail around the Cape of Good Hope to where we are now.

The plan is to sail east all the way across the Indian Ocean to Indonesia, over there. It looks like a long away. Anyway, Passepartout is at the hospital having the cut on his head stitched up and I've been shopping. Look, someone has given me some coffee beans. Mmm, delicious.

Now what else do I need to buy for the next stage of our voyage?

If you have to do something, it is necessary for you to do it. It's a law, an obligation or a fact.

If you don't have to do something, it isn't necessary to do it, but you can if you want.

If you mustn't do something, it means 'don't do it'. It is necessary not to do it.
