Are you happy in your job? That's the question? Do you enjoy going to work? Well, it may surprise you to learn, that most of us do, most of the time. Radio 5 live commissioned a survey from COMRes and that's what they found. According to the survey, nearly 80% of people say that they are proud of their work, and 68% say they enjoying working most days.

Did you hear that? Most people are happy to go to work, it’s surprising – but that’s good news, isn’t it?

Well, it’s definitely a surprise! Who are these people? I work to make money, but enjoy it, really?

Sam
You not enjoying something is no surprise, but I’m not sure this report is so surprising, either – we spend so much time at work, we should make sure that we have job satisfaction.

I’ve got good job satisfaction. I love the job I do, what about you guys?

…but, I don’t really feel the same way.  I just never feel that I’m appreciated for what I do.

No-one ever says thank you – they never tell us what they think about the programmes, it’s almost like they don’t notice. 

Sam
You’re right.  It’s definitely very important to be appreciated at work.

But, I’m just not sure that’s true for us here. Didn’t you hear all those things they said at our last meeting?  We got loads of feedback - I found that really motivating.
