The story
Football's world governing body, FIFA, is set to lift its ban on displaying poppies during matches to commemorate Armistice day. Last year the football associations of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland were fined for using the poppy after FIFA deemed it a political symbol and against the sport's laws.
