Well, it’s clear isn’t it – people just use their phones way too much. No one seems to be able to pay attention to anything anymore.

I think you might be right - ‘pay attention’ 은 집중한다는 뜻입니다. 하지만 핸드폰은 지금 우리 삶에 중요한 역할을 하고 있잖아요? 쉬운 문제는 아닌 것 같아요.

I don’t think it’s that difficult – for some things you just need to be able to pay attention. What’s so difficult about that?

Erm… Sorry again, that might have been me. Do people still turn their phones off? Really – all I have to do is make sure I focus on what I’m doing.

Really, Sam? 'Focus' 는 집중한다는 뜻입니다. 저는 핸드폰이 있으면 집중이 안돼서 꼭 치워놔요.
