Useful expressions
1. fizzle out (verb)
To 'fizzle out' అంటే తొందరగా నిరాశపరిచేవిధంగా ముగించడం. ఏదైనా వెలుగులు విరజిమ్ముతూ గొప్పగా ప్రారంభమయి తొందరగా వెలుగులు ఆరిపోతే అప్పుడు 'Fizzle out' అని వాడొచ్చు.

- Coach's dream fizzles out as team are knocked out of tournament early.
2. field questions (verb)
'field questions' అంటే dealing with questions - ప్రశ్నలతో వ్యవహరించడం అనే అర్థం చెప్పుకోవచ్చు. కష్టమైన ప్రశ్నలకు జవాబులు చెప్పే సందర్భాల్లో 'Field' అని వాడతారు. ముఖ్యంగా మనల్ని ఇబ్బంది పెట్టడానికన్నట్టు అడిగే ప్రశ్నలకు , tricky ప్రశ్నలకు తెలివిగా, diplomatic గా జవాబులు చెప్పే సందర్భాలకు field అనే పదం వర్తిస్తుంది.

3. swing into gear (phrase)
To 'swing into gear' అంటే ఊపందుకోవడం. ఒకసారి ఇంజిన్ స్టార్ట్ అయితే ఊపందుకుని దౌడు తీస్తుంది కదా! అక్కడనుంచి ఈ 'swing into gear' అనే వ్యక్తీకరణ వచ్చుండొచ్చు. ఏవైనా ప్రణాళికలు, విధానాల అమలు విషయంలో 'swing into gear' అని వాడడం పరిపాటి.
- Election campaign swings into gear with candidate's speeches.
- Emergency services swing into gear after accident.
