The Tower, reputedly the third most haunted house in Britain, will appear faintly as soon as you turn into the long drive. After a glass of hot mulled wine, follow the storyteller listening to tales passed down through the centuries as you venture along candlelit underground passages.

Ghost Tour from Blackpool's Grand Theatre

The tour will visit Pendle on Hallowe’en (Wednesday 31st October). Leaving by coach at 6pm from the Grand Theatre you’ll be taken to Lancaster Castle for a fully interactive candlelight tour that will spook you with tales of ghosts and witches. Hear about the famous trials of the Pendle Witches and experience what it was like during those dark times. You will have to keep your eyes open as you walk through the Castle though; you might see more than you bargained for!

After a visit to Witches Galore in Newchurch-in-Pendle you’ll be taken on to Pendle Hill. History and legend has woven a spell over the area, with the famous Hill rising above this ancient hunting ground, once the home of wolves and wild boar. It is an untamed place, full of mystery and infamous as the home of the Pendle Witches who were tried and executed for witchcraft in 1612.

Visit some of the stalls and stands that sell handmade items on the path leading to the Hill and then climb to the summit; it has been known that on Hallowe'en night around the witching hour, ancient ceremonies have taken place at the top! You will then return to the Grand Theatre around 2am in the morning!
