BlackpoolOctober and November has seen two new locations in Blackpool join Supernatural Events’ list of haunted venues; Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks and Pleasure Beach Blackpool. Grand Ghost Tours at Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks will take place on Monday 24th November 2008, Wednesday 18th March and Wednesday 22nd April and at Pleasure Beach Blackpool on Wednesdays 21st January, 11th February and 4th March 2009. January sees the world-famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom added to list of locations with tours taking place on Tuesdays 27th January and 3rd February, Monday 9th March and Tuesday 7th April. Supernatural Events began its original Grand Ghost Tours at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool in 2006 and they return to investigate the strange happenings in the auditorium and stage areas on Saturday 24th January. Psychic medium Ian Lawman, star of LivingTV’s Living With The Dead show, and past co-presenter of Most Haunted and I’m Famous and Frightened, will be returning with an Overnight Ghost Walk at Blackpool Zoo, the original site of the Blackpool Municipal Aerodrome which was in operation throughout World War II, on Friday 20th February. There will be two Overnight Ghost Investigations in the new season; Saturday 10th January at Blackpool Opera House and Saturday 7th March in the Spanish Hall Suite within the Winter Gardens complex. Still in the Winter Gardens complex there will be a Grand Ghost Tour of the Pavilion Theatre and Empress Ballroom on Wednesday 15th April. The next trip to Samlesbury Hall, near Preston will be Friday 13th March. Blackpool Illuminations Depot on Rigby Road will soon be closing as this will be the site for the new Blackpool & the Fylde College. The final ghost tours at this location will be on Wednesday 14th January and Friday 6th February. Tales passed down through centuries and mulled wine to take away the chill prepare you for what is to follow. Heed the storyteller as you venture through silent rooms, explore ancient underground passages lit only by candlelight and then peer into dungeons associated with the Lancashire Witches.
