Many believe Chingle Hall at Goosnargh to be the most haunted house in England.

Built by Adam de Singleton in 1260, it has passed through various families including the Singletons and Walls.

Father John Wall, born in the Hall in the 17th century, was hanged for heresy in Worcester in 1679. His head was taken to France but is believed to have eventually been brought back and buried at the Hall.

It is said that if it is ever found then the hauntings will stop. Visitors have reported noises, apparitions and objects being moved. The most haunted room is the bedroom of Eleanor Singleton who was murdered at the hall.

You would be very lucky indeed to stay or visit Chingle Hall the owners like their privacy, and although understanding to requests to stay don't encourage visitors very often if at all.

I would like to find the address of chingle hall or a number to contact to book a room there for a couple of nights to rise money for charity am 28 year old from warrington am always up for a big challenge and i think this wud be the bigger challenging thing i would have done in my life so could you please help me thank you so much lee
