Sue and Dave Hayward talk about their charity supporting a junior school at Watamu on the east coast of northern Kenya...
Sue and Dave plan to build an orphanage
Before the year 2000, Sue Hayward, a hotelier in Blackpool, didn't believe in fate. But her life changed because of a simple holiday destination mix up.
Sue and her husband Dave now run a charity supporting a junior school at Watamu on the east coast of northern Kenya.
Their Castlemere Hotel near Blackpool seafront is now on the market and once it's sold they'll be moving to Kenya lock, stock and barrel to build and run an orphanage... or Happy House as Sue prefers to call it.
Sue tells BBC Radio Lancashire's Steve Becker how the happiness she hopes to bring to the children grew out of her own unhappiness...
kirsty moore how do you become a sponser or donate. my partner is from kenya and we would to to help.
Julie Whittington Sue, you are an inspiration. Thank you so much for having the guts to get up and go. May God bless you and all the children you help.
