Back in the mid 80's a family friend and graffiti artist named EEZ painted some amazing murals in my neighbourhood of Livingston, just outside Edinburgh. I was really inspired by his work and I too an immediate interest in graffiti. Several of my older friends were also into it and with their help, I started to learn different techniques and develop my own style. ![]() I was fortunate to be involved in some of Scotland’s legendary graffiti events, where on several occasions internationally renowned graffiti writers came to town. I was hooked! I’ve worked with so many talented people over the years and my work has taken me to interesting places all over the world. ![]() Despite this, my main influences are still my friends! The MSC Edinburgh or NSA Liverpool, great stuff and great lads one and all! I have been running a company called zap graffiti arts since 1995. We're now based in Liverpool, and work across the UK and often overseas to promote graffiti as a positive art form. We do this through tailored workshop projects and training programmes. ![]() We also produce work for exhibition and commissions for varying clients. We have a public studio and shop where folk can practice and get their gear and I will always paint for fun! That’s what it's all about! What do you want to teach at Blast?I’m going to work with 3 groups to create a display which will act as the cat walk floor, no stencil nonsense, strictly freehand funk! It will be well worth checking out! last updated: 03/10/2008 at 14:06 SEE ALSOYou are in: Isle of Man > Blast Tour > Kieran Gorman - Graffiti Artist |
