Blast Tour

Back in the mid 80's a family friend and graffiti artist named EEZ painted some amazing murals in my neighbourhood of Livingston, just outside Edinburgh.

I was really inspired by his work and I too an immediate interest in graffiti. Several of my older friends were also into it and with their help, I started to learn different techniques and develop my own style.

I was fortunate to be involved in some of Scotland’s legendary graffiti events, where on several occasions internationally renowned graffiti writers came to town. I was hooked!

I’ve worked with so many talented people over the years and my work has taken me to interesting places all over the world.

Despite this, my main influences are still my friends! The MSC Edinburgh or NSA Liverpool, great stuff and great lads one and all!

I have been running a company called zap graffiti arts since 1995. We're now based in Liverpool, and work across the UK and often overseas to promote graffiti as a positive art form.

We do this through tailored workshop projects and training programmes.

We also produce work for exhibition and commissions for varying clients. We have a public studio and shop where folk can practice and get their gear and I will always paint for fun! That’s what it's all about!

What do you want to teach at Blast?

I’m going to work with 3 groups to create a display which will act as the cat walk floor, no stencil nonsense, strictly freehand funk! It will be well worth checking out!
