I was classically trained from an early age in both piano and voice and first performed on stage when I was five.

I spent my teenage years performing arias, taking part in operatic competitions and dedicating myself to the development of my vocal range, improving my voice control and refining my own style.

I love writing my own material and want to produce music that has real longevity.

A few years ago I decided that I wanted to embark on a more contemporary career and started working on new material that would open up new audiences.

I am influenced by all sorts of artists including the soul singers, Stevie Wonder and Marvn Gaye; classical artists like Dame Janet Baker and Bryn Terfl as well as rock the bands Radiohead and Muse.

I was born and raised on the Isle of Man and I am constantly inspired by the island’s beauty.

It is great to be a part of the ever growing local music scene.

I like to write about how I am feeling but I also like to be able to tell a story about other people too. A song always tells a story. I have written most songs on my own but my co-writer on some of the songs on the album, Rob Cross, made me realise how much another person can bring to the table if you will only sit back and be prepared to listen to someone else's ideas.

Since she started gigging her own songs, Anna has been reaching out to a rapidly growing fan base with a live performance that comes straight from the heart. Her first major performance was to a sell out crowd, supporting Katie Melua; after the gig, a veritable scrum of eager new fans snapped up every copy of her first EP within minutes.

In 2006 Anna was awarded the prestigious Air Malta Award at the Malta International TV Festival and as recently as September 2008 Anna was a semi finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition for her songs "Don't Wait Up" and "Older Than My Years".
