I am interest in WW2 because I had a brother & 2 uncles who were in the forces , 1 of whom was sadly killed in Egypt .Having come to live in Holland , I have seen many places connected to the war in Europe and listened to stories about how the Dutch people lived during those very dark days . My life as a youngster in Lancashire was fairly protected , the most scarey thing being the air raid sirens .I do remember though my mothers fears for her son & brothers . I read with interest the stories of others ,and the effect the war had on their lives
