I was happy to be present in the church at Puiflyk for the 60th and from what I've been told the last commemoration of the liberation of Holland . There were about 40 veterans present from the UK as well as Dutch veterans . It was a very moving service and the church was absolutely full to capacity and there were people outside who could not get in .I have to admit to being tearful and happy at the same time . tearful at the loss both the British and the Dutch people suffered , and happy that so many from this small village were giving their time and their thanks to those who gave their lives .The welcome to the veterans was warm and I felt very privileged to be able to join in this wonderful service which included children as well as adults . To the Dutch people I would like to say a big THANKYOU , to the veterans Godbless each and every one of you .
