Having recently come to live in Druten , I was told about 4 war graves in a small cemetery at Puiflyk, Druten . I went there with my Daughter in Law just before 1st Nov when families place flowers /plants by the graves of their loved ones. I took with me flowers for the graves of these 4 young men . If there are any family members in the UK still , it may please them to know ,that I will visit the cemetery on Nov 11th and each month as far as I am able . It would please me so very much if I thought some one was doing the same in the cemetery in Salerno, Sicily, where my uncle is buried . It may also please any of the families to know that the Dutch remember those who died in Holland during the war , and do tend the graves . There were lovely winter pansies growing in front of ours here in Druten ,placed there I believe on the day the Dutch people hold their rememberence . Here then are the details I took down .
