Six stands in one day: walking the Somme battlefield

This tour is based on what can be reasonably achieved in one good day. It comprises of visits to six stands each of which offers a view of a key part of the battlefield.

Also included is a brief description of the events that took place in 1916, what can be seen now, and a short extract from source material to give a flavour of the history.
