The States voting on the Committee Chairs:

16:19 Barry Brehaut unopposed to post of Scrutiny Committee Chair.

16:17 Al Brouard elected unopposed to Public Sector Remuneration Committee Chair.

16:16 Leon Gallienne has been elected to the post he held in the previous States - Public Accounts Committee Chair with a vote of Gallienne 25 and Langlois 22.

15:55 Nominees for Public Accounts are Alistair Langlois and Leon Gallienne.

15:54 The Legislation Select Committee Chair is John Gollop following a vote of: Gollop 26 and Maindonald 21.

15:31 John Gollop and Sam Maindonald are the candidates for the Legislation Select Committee Chair.

15:30 Ivan Rihoy voted in as chair of the House Committee unopposed.

The States voting on the Ministers of Departments:

15:28 Bernard Flouquet unopposed in vote for Deputy Chief Minister.

15:26 Charles Parkinson voted Treasury and Resources Minister unopposed.

15:24 Society Security Ministry goes to Mark Dorey: Dorey 31 and Lowe 16.

15:00 Mark Dorey and Mary Lowe nominated for Social Security.

14:59 The new Education minister is Carol Steere after the vote: Steere 30, De Lisle 16 and one spoilt paper.

14:33 Carol Steere and David De Lisle are nominated for Education.

14:32 Hunter Adam voted in as Health and Social Services Minister unopposed.

12:52 Members leave the chamber for lunch to resume at half past two.

12:51: Mike O'Hara became the Culture and Leisure Minister after the vote: O'Hara 24, Galliene 14 and Gollop 4.

12:16 Recorded vote against taking lunch and continuing with the election.

12:12 Culture and Leisure nominees are Leon Gallienne, John Gollop and Mike O'Hara.

12:10 Peter Sirett won the Evironment Minister seat by 24-23 votes against David De Lisle.

12:03 Jenny Tasker is eliminated and without a clear majority the top two face the vote for the final time: De Lisle 18, Sirett 16 and Tasker 13.

11:52 Janine Le Sauvage is out of the race after the first round of voting: De Lisle 16, Sirett 14, Tasker 13 and Le Sauvage 4. Top three face another ballot.

11:06 Nominations for Environment: Peter Sirett, Janine Le Sauvage, Jenny Tasker and David De Lisle.

11:05 New Public Services Minister Bernard Flouquet voted in by 27-19.

10:43 Al Brouard nominated for Public Services against Bernard Flouquet.

10:41 Dave Jones returned to his seat as Housing Minister by a vote of 32-14.

10:16 Rhoderick Matthews proposed to stand against Dave Jones for Housing.

10:13 Geoff Mahy voted in as Home Minister unopposed.

10:11 Carla McNulty Bauer voted in as Commerce and Employment Minister 25-22.

09:58 Carla McNulty Bauer proposed to stand against Jack Honeybill for Commerce and Employment.
