Over 2,000 students donned their mortarboards, gowns and hoods for the University of Gloucestershire's 2004 graduation ceremonies. Graduates ranged from people in their twenties to one 77-year-old lady, who proved that it's never too late to study. News broadcaster Sir Trevor Macdonald was granted an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of his services to journalism, and gave a speech about the ongoing importance of his profession in the modern world. Also among those granted Honorary Doctorates are writer Dick King-Smith and Gardener's World presenter Chris Beardshaw. ................................................
