The blooms of this dark red rose have a strong classic fruity fragrance. The flowers of this variety are in fact light crimson when in bud but, as the centre gradually opens, it becomes a very deep velvety crimson. The growth is bushy, reaching a height and spread of approx 90cms. With its classically shaped blooms, this rose would make a very good choice for the front of a border or planted in a more formal bed. It's named after Munstead Wood was Gertrude Jekyll's garden in Surrey.
